(When) The Honeymoon Phase (is Over)

The night is getting darker. A young lover was ready to end the day, when a random thought suddenly appears.

"When the honeymoon phase is over, we'll be back to our normal life, huh?"
"What?"
"Well... You'll chase the girls and I should face all the rejections."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"That's how we live our life before we met each other."
"I thought we're going to have a new life."
"There's no such thing as new life, anyway, if we don't change ourselves to be a brand new person."
"I'll change."
"I told myself that I'll change, too, but there might be moments when my fear of rejection is about to rise again, like how it used to before I met you. In other way, you might find another girl(s) that prettier than me, hotter than me, smarter than me, and can give you wilder sex all night."
"Let's just enjoy the moment."
"...before it ends?"
"Don't be too cynical. I love you. You're beautiful."
"No one ever call me beautiful before, don't try to throw some bullshit on me."
"I'm not--"
"I'm tired. Let's just sleep."

***

The door is open. A cab in the driveway. The driver is putting some luggage into the trunk.

"Are you sure?"
"Yes. I've been thinking about it all night."
"I know you weren't sleeping. I heard you crying. I wasn't sleep all night, too. I can't believe you made this decision."
"I can't believe it either, but we aren't ready to move out of our past."
"I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault. It's just me being so afraid of getting hurt."
"What will you do now?"
"I will live all by myself, made a moratorium on relationship things..."
"...so no one will ever hurt you again? That's ridiculous. You're torturing yourself. You're hurting your own heart."
"It will be better than seeing you flirt with other girls."
"But I've promised you I won't do that anymore!"
"No--"
"YOU'RE BEING SO PARANOID!"
"Don't shout. Please. Don't shout."
"YOU'RE A PARANOID DRAMA QUEEN BITCH! YOU BLAME ME FOR SOMETHING I HAVEN'T DONE!"
"I promise I'll be back when I'm ready."

The door has closed.

The Quintessential of Life

Okay, it's been quite a long time I haven't write on this blog, but I'm feeling a sudden urge to burst out what I'm thinking, right here, right now.

Jadi gini,
barusan abis nonton The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. I'm not a huge fan of Ben Stiller, but I will put this movie as one of the most memorable ones I've ever watched.

There it goes, majalah LIFE pun harus bertransformasi menjadi LIFE Online.

But the most valuable lesson to find in this movie is how to appreciate
the quintessential of life.

Even my mom became one of their loyal subscribers. Imagine how happy she was when I told her I was accepted as a journalist of her favorite weekly tabloid. Gw pun pernah jadi pembaca setia mereka, karena apa yang nyokap gw baca, ikut gw baca juga (ada juga cerita tentang gw sering rebutan koran Kompas sama kakek gw waktu gw umur sekitar 4 tahun, I'll tell ya later). Tapi ternyata jaman berubah.

Just blend it in.
Masih inget film The Artist, kan?

move on.

karena merekalah the quintessential of (media) life.

So if there's any of you, my former working partners, who read this, and you hate me because I expressed what I'm thinking, then you're not moving on :)

Jangan Salahkan Pakaianku. Salahkan Saja Selangkanganmu.

Kamu minta aku menunduk? Mari, lihat aku.

For Assholes with Girlfriends

While you're ignoring her,
another guy is giving her attention.

While you're giving her problems,
another guy is listening.

While you're too busy for her,
another guy is making time for her.

While you're making her cry,
another guy is trying to make her smile again.

When you're not sure if you still want her,
another guy has already figured it out.

My Fantasy Goes to Miranda Kerr

She has a very unique face shape.
Each time I saw her, I feel like seeing a kid. A cheerful yet brave kid.
Sometimes, for me, a lingerie model looks no different with any other sexy models like the ones in Playboy cover or in sexy stage acts.
But she's a bit different. I've seen none of those sensual images in her.
She's not sensual. She just makes me feel so curious.

What?
Do I sound like a lesbian?
Noooo, I'm straight and she's pretty :)

2011 Wish List: Come, Lucky Time, Come!

Well, hello everyone. It's Dec 31 and we'll celebrate the new year's eve tonite! Yeaaay!
Unfortunately, i'll just stay at home, watching the tellie, then adjust my watch to the exact hour. Haha.

So, what will i do, what will i be in 2011?
Here's my wish list:

1. Working as a journalist in a media
Sorry for have no time to write down on this blog that i've had a very nice time on my internship program in Bintang Indonesia. Last Friday was my last day of being an intern on that entertainment tabloid. As someone who absolutely passionate of being a journalist since i was in high school, it feels like i've finally reached my dream.
But i haven't reach the satisfaction of being a journalist if i do it just as an intern. I wanna do it for living. Next year!

Here are the medias i wanna work with:

fashionesedaily.com
For God sake, i'm craving for being a fashion journalist!
Urban Style magz
This magazine belongs to Sedaya Citra Media which also the owner of Bintang Indonesia. Both located in the same building and even in the same room. Only a red-thick partition that separates the room. I knew some of the journalists, like Stallone, Novita, and Agung, and they're sooooo hilariously fun! They're nice and friendly. Ok, i should've talk about the magz, but the people factor could be the most important thing. If your job is good, your salary is good, your room is good, but the people is always stare at you with cat eyes and makes you feel uncomfortable, just leave it, safe and sound!

Anyway, i miss Stallone, Novita, and mas Agung :')

Bintang Indonesia
I love the job, i love the events that we usually being invited, i love interviewing the celebrity, and i love the facility. Really. That's nice being an entertainment journalist.

Extra Wishlist
Harper's Bazaar
Well, i'm a newbie in journalism world. I know it's almost impossible for me to work with Harper's in 2011 as my very first professional job, but i do craving for a position there.

  2. Money-Making
How? Are you asking me how to do it? By achieving my first wishlist, of course ;)
Oh, maybe by opening my own online shop, too. It's been a long time dream and i wanna make it true, ASAP.

3. Style-upgrading
Let's start it with dazzling shoes and chic dresses.

Now let's prepare the brand new day with huge dreams and plans.
Happy New Year and have a nice future! :)

P.S: Happy bday to my lecturer, best-friend, and life-adviser, Yearry Panji who reaches his 28th year on earth today. Thanks for every story and life-lesson that you've taught me and keeping my two biggest secrets! Love ya, dude! ;)

Bambang and Ani: Now and Then

So, like any other day, i found myself sitting straight in front of my computer, blogwalking and blogwalking and blogwalking, then i suddenly found this picture.

(taken from: http://www.kaskus.us/showthread.php?t=4571734&page=229)
The caption at the source web says they're a couple of lover that now known as Mr and Mrs President of Indonesia.
At first i feel like i can't believe it. The lady, yes, she had a similar face with our First Lady. She looks so pretty. She had a vintage movie star face. She reminds me of Nona Sari from White Shoes and The Couple's Company.
But the guy beside her? No, i can't believe it's Mr. Yudhoyono.

Now let's compare it with this picture:

If it's really you, then what kind of dinner that you have each day??
You replace that thin and bony body into... mmm... should I call it... dense frame?

Well, honestly, I've got a bit scared for talking about this in the blog. Yeah, you know, what kind of awkward country that we have here. Someone can throw me into jail for saying that you're fat, Mr.President.
No, i'm not mocking at you. Just saying that you might need to work out before Indonesia lost its power because of your... mmm... obesity?

Due to our president's body shape, we should've thank god for beating the president of U.S.
Obama needs to be fattened and we have what Obama needs.

Work out your body, Mr.Bambang.
Shape your body like how you shape the economic future of this country.

Regards,
Your people.

RIP Leslie Nielsen (1926 - 2010)

I just sit in front of my computer at the office, when i suddenly saw the news.
Leslie Nielsen, the star of "Naked Gun" died yesterday, November 28, 2010.
He died at the age of 84 by complication arising from pneumonia.
He died on his sleep.
That's how i want if i die, too.

It shocks me a lot. He is my most favorite comedian ever.
I even wish that i could be his grand-daughter.
I love the way he put the jokes in his words while making a serious face.

He starts his career in dramatic roles on television during what is now known as "Television's Golden Age", appearing in almost 50 live programs in 1950 alone. He appeared in over 100 films and 1,500 television programs over the span of his career, portraying over 220 characters.

His last movie i saw was "Superhero Movie".
On that 2008 movie, he starred as Uncle Albert, the wisely-silly uncle of Rick Riker, the boy who bit by a dragonfly and turn himself into a superhero.

Bye, Leslie.
Thanks for dropping thousands of laughter on my face each time i saw you on the tellie.

With Anne Francis in his second film, "Forbidden Planet" (1956)

Young Leslie. Cute, huh? :)

Help Me to Find A (better) Hair Style

It's been more than a decade i've had this long straight black hair. Imagine how bored i am when each time i saw my face in the mirror and put my eyes on the hair. I was thinking about to cut it, dye it, curl it, anything to make a change.

Back to the secondary school era, i've curled my hair. It was a huge decision for a 5 grade student to curl her hair. It's getting bigger when i realize that my family isn't a type of the style-seeker one.

Now i' thinking about to curl it again. But first, i have to choose what's best for my oblong face. For those who have no idea about what oblong face is, set your mind to Sarah Jessica Parker.

To be honest, she has the weirdest face i've ever seen. Her long face makes her look so old and there's no hairstyle could match into it.
Then i look at my own face and realize that we have the same face shape.
Does it means that i have the weirdest face that looks so old and there's no hairstyle could match into my face?

So, what kind of hairstyle that i want?
I badly want for a curl hair. Even the curling iron has been my best friend for years. I used it each time i feel bored or dropped-down. Touching up my look could barely change my mood, somehow.
Now, let's check into these curly hairstyles and see which one could fit into mine.

This is what I crave for now. A long curl hair that close to a bed-head style could fit into mine. But the soft cut on top of the hair could make my hair looks soggy.

I wish i could up-do my hair like this for a party.

If i have a smaller face, you'll see me like this. Yes, with this hairstyle.

Put your eyes on the hair, baby, not the outfit.

So now, which one's best for me?
Choose it. Help me to decide. Please :(
